Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) Objective of the role: - The primary purpose of this role is to lead and direct the financial responsibilities including the holding and operating companies in all business verticals. - The Group CFO has responsibility for managing financial sustainability, driving financial performance & maximising return on investment for the Group. - The role will provide strategic financial advice and counsel to the Board of Directors and will play a pivotal role in formulating future financial strategies as well as managing the current overall group P&L and the existing Finance & Accounting team. - This role will report into the Group CEO and will be based out of Pune/Chennai/Bangalore. Key Areas of Responsibility would include the following : - Financial Control : Responsibility to ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the respective Holdings and businesses. This includes but is not limited to : Group Reporting, Treasury & Cash Management, Debt Facilities, Risk Management and Audits, Tax Compliance, Insurance, Contract Management and Terms of Trade & Accounting Projects & Analysis. - Corporate Finance : including foreign exchange management and optimising the balance sheet structure. - Financial Strategy : including budgeting, forecasting, contributing to overall strategy and investment prioritisation. Key Job Responsibilities (but are not limited to): 1. Responsible for developing and executing the financial strategy of the company. 2. Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process. 3. Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports. 4. Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets. 5. Analyses operations to identify areas in need of reorganisation, downsizing, or elimination. 6. Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share. 7. Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital if required for expansion. 8. Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company. 9. Provide advice to CEO and other executives on how to increase revenue and reduce costs. 10. Design & Operationalise Risk Management Framework ; and also Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner. 11. Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained. 12. Support the CEO & Business Heads with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans of all the Group Companies and Business Units.. 13. Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments. 14. Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required. 15. He should be able to manage & plan all the financial requirements of the company and should be able to cover aspects related to Banking & Finance. Tracking cash flow & financial planning. Our Ideal Candidate: 1.10-15 Years of experience in Finance function handling multiple leadership roles. 2. Prior experience of being a CFO/Finance Head in a multi business Group 3.
