Job Title: Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: India (managing South Africa group entities)

Experience: Senior Leadership (45-50 years preferred)

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong international exposure

Job Purpose

- The Group CFO will lead the overall financial strategy, governance, and consolidated reporting for South African group entities while driving operational excellence for India-based finance operations.

- This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, treasury, FX management, statutory compliance, intercompany processes, and ERP/system controls. The CFO will work closely with external auditors and regulators in South Africa, present financials to the Board, and ensure robust internal controls, performance analysis, and financial discipline across both geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive global financial strategy aligned with organizational objectives.

- Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making at the Board and leadership levels.

Financial Governance & Reporting:

- Drive consolidated financial reporting, governance, and internal controls for South African group entities.

- Oversee consolidated MIS prepared in India for South African operations.

- Present financial results, variance insights, and analyses to the Board.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning:

Lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning for:

- India: Support cost centers and shared services

- South Africa: Operational and business units

- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strategic alignment of all financial plans.

- Statutory Compliance & Audit Management

- Ensure full statutory compliance and audit sign-offs in South Africa in coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities.

- Manage tax, audit, company secretarial matters, and statutory filings for South African entities.

- Strengthen internal financial policies and compliance frameworks across India and South Africa.

Treasury, Cash Flow & FX Management:

- Oversee cash flow planning, working capital optimization, and treasury operations across both regions.

- Manage banking relationships, foreign exchange exposures, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Systems, Processes & Intercompany Transactions

- Lead ERP/system oversight ensuring financial accuracy, controls, and process efficiency.

- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and cross-border compliance requirements.

- Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and advisors across geographies to ensure governance excellence.

Incumbent Profile:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a proven track record in senior financial leadership roles; ideally a current Group CFO.

- Age range: 45-50 years preferred.

- Extensive exposure to overseas business entities, especially in multi-country environments.

- Strong command over IFRS, cross-border compliance, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.

- Demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, financial governance, and large-scale consolidation.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
