Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PMO Manager to lead project governance, portfolio management, and operational excellence for AI/ML initiatives.

This role requires a strategic leader who can manage complex AI project lifecycles, engage stakeholders at the CXO level, and ensure seamless execution of large-scale transformation programs.

This is a high-visibility position, ideal for professionals from Big 4 or MBB consulting backgrounds, or those with extensive experience in managing AI/ML projects within enterprise settings.

Key Responsibilities

AI Project Governance & Strategy

- Develop PMO frameworks tailored specifically for AI/ML initiatives.

- Establish governance standards covering data governance, model validation, performance monitoring, and ethical AI compliance.

- Align AI project delivery with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI projects including ML models, automation, and analytics solutions.

- Oversee critical dependencies such as data readiness, infrastructure setup, and third-party integrations.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with KPIs.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

- Act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, translating AI concepts into business outcomes.

- Conduct executive briefings, steering committees, and client-facing presentations.

- Build strong stakeholder trust and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Resource & Risk Management

- Manage allocation of AI talent including data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.

- Anticipate and mitigate risks such as model bias, data quality issues, or compliance gaps.

- Oversee vendor relationships and ensure quality delivery from external partners.

Reporting, Insights & ROI

- Track AI project performance using KPIs like model accuracy, deployment efficiency, adoption rate, and business impact.

- Deliver ROI-driven reports and dashboards for leadership decision-making.

- Continuously refine processes to drive operational excellence and scalability.

Qualifications

- MBA/PGDM from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-school preferred.

- 10+ years of project management experience, including 2+ years in AI/ML or data science programs.

- Background with Big 4 or MBB consulting firms desirable.

- Proven expertise in project planning, resource optimization, and risk management.

- Proficiency in PM tools: MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana.

- Strong executive presence with excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Technical Knowledge

- In-depth understanding of AI/ML project lifecycles: model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

- Familiarity with AI technologies: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision.

- Knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI frameworks.

- Awareness of global compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and ethical AI practices.
