Gravensure General Insurance - Chief Strategy Officer

Role Overview :

The Chief Strategy Officer will serve as a pivotal architect of the company's long-term growth, working directly with the Board of Directors and the executive leadership team to define and execute the corporate roadmap. This role involves navigating the complexities of the general insurance sector to drive sustainable profitability and market expansion. You will act as the primary bridge between the company's operational performance and the investor community, ensuring that financial goals are met while maintaining clear, transparent communication with key stakeholders. The position demands a high-impact leader capable of translating complex financial data into actionable strategic initiatives that enhance shareholder value.

Experience and Qualifications:

- 8 - 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Strategy, Business Leadership, Consulting, Financial Services or Insurance.

- Strong exposure to General Insurance, Financial Services or other complex, regulated industries preferred.

- Experience working with CEOs, Boards, Investors and senior stakeholders.

- Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide strategy, transformation and high-growth initiatives.

- Strong understanding of business strategy, financial performance, growth and value creation.

- Experience in Consulting, Investment, Corporate Strategy, CEO Office or P&L Leadership is advantageous.

- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Strategy or a related discipline from a leading institution preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor & Board Engagement:

- Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to manage Investor and Board engagement, develop strategic narratives and materials, and support high-stakes discussions on investments, partnerships and business opportunities.

Enterprise Strategy & Planning:

- Drive the Company's short, medium and long-term strategy, strategic planning, market analysis, scenario planning and translation of strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.

CEO Office & Enterprise Leadership:

- Lead the CEO Office strategic agenda, support critical CEO-level decisions, drive leadership alignment, resolve execution barriers and ensure momentum on enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
