1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership:


- Develop and execute long-term, enterprise-wide supply chain and logistics strategies that align with corporate goals, market expansion, and customer service excellence.


- Drive innovation, digital transformation, and process optimisation across procurement, warehousing (3PL), logistics, and distribution networks.


- Establish governance frameworks, strategic planning cycles, and robust operating models for sustainable and compliant operations.

2. End-to-End Supply Chain Operations Management:


- Provide leadership and oversight for full supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory planning, 3PL warehouse management, domestic distribution, and last?mile logistics.


- Ensure the seamless and compliant movement of pharmaceutical products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and GDP/GxP compliance.


- Lead efforts to optimize network design, inventory levels, logistics efficiency, and service quality across all channels.

3. Compliance, Quality & Risk Governance:


- Identify and proactively mitigate risks related to logistics disruptions, demand variability, product shortages, cold?chain integrity, and regulatory compliance.


- Strengthen alignment with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and EHS to ensure audit readiness, SOP compliance, and adherence to statutory regulations.


- Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement frameworks.

4. Vendor Strategy & 3PL Leadership:


- Drive evaluation, selection, negotiation, and performance governance of 3PL partners, logistics vendors, and supply-chain service providers.


- Establish strategic partnerships that enhance service capabilities, reduce total cost of ownership, and support business scalability.


- Lead vendor audits, SLA performance reviews, and long?term capability and cost optimisation programs.

5. Performance Management & Operational Excellence:


- Develop and monitor KPIs across supply chain functions, including OTIF, cost efficiency, warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, and logistics performance.


- Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects to elevate efficiency, service levels, and compliance performance.


- Leverage data analytics, technology, and automation for decision-making, forecasting, and process excellence.

6. Cross-Functional & Leadership Collaboration:


- Partner with Production, QA, Regulatory, Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure supply continuity and alignment with organisational priorities.


- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on supply chain risks, opportunities, and market trends.


- Collaborate on business planning, S&OP processes, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

7. People Leadership & Capability Development


- Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team of supply chain, logistics, and procurement professionals.


- Drive capability development, succession planning, and a culture of operational discipline, compliance, and innovation.


- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and leadership guidance to develop future supply chain leaders.

Qualifications and Experience:


- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.


- Proven experience (10-15 years) in supply chain management and logistics, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.


- In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.


- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.


- Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Knowledge and Skills:


- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.


- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.


- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.


- Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and cost optimization.
