Job Purpose & Key Challenges:
Purpose - The role involves grain origination, executing domestic and export trades, managing grower and customer relationships, and driving margin through effective market positioning. Commodities include - wheat, barley, canola, and pulses.
Broad Responsibilities:
- Originate grain from growers and brokers across key regions
- Manage domestic trade execution, including DCT sales
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and global supply-demand dynamics
- Build and maintain strong grower, customer, and supplier relationships
- Coordinate logistics, contracts, and documentation for bulk and container shipments
- Work closely with finance, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution
- Manage position and risk in line with company policies
- Identify new business opportunities and support strategy execution
Key Challenges:
- The company, need to leverage this to penetrate into Australian market
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree / CA/ CFA
- At least 10 years of Work experience in the region, preferably in GNO space
- Strong knowledge of Australian grain markets and international trade
- Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Commercial mindset with ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and Analytical skills and ability to interpret market intelligence data for effective decision making
- Ability to liaise effectively internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel to regional areas and attend grower meetings and Good networking skills
