Role Overview:
The Category Lead for E-commerce will spearhead the growth and profitability of our spare parts and automotive accessories business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the category, ensuring optimal product assortment, competitive pricing, and seamless inventory availability. This role involves close collaboration with supply chain, marketing, and technology teams to drive conversion rates and enhance the overall customer experience on our digital platforms. As a key leader, you will directly influence the company's top-line growth and operational efficiency by identifying market trends and scaling our e-commerce footprint. Buiding GoMechanic's presence on E Commerce Platform and generate revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the category strategy to drive revenue growth and market share expansion within the automotive e-commerce segment.
- Manage the full P&L for the category, ensuring healthy margins through effective pricing strategies and cost optimization.
- Oversee demand planning and inventory management to ensure high product availability while minimizing stock-outs and carrying costs.
- Drive online product management initiatives by optimizing search, navigation, and product discovery to improve conversion rates.
- Analyze consumer behavior and market trends to curate a high-performing product assortment that meets the evolving needs of our customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and logistics, to streamline the supply chain and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to guide strategic decision-making.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale e-commerce categories with a focus on driving growth and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data sets, perform financial modeling, and manage P&L accountability effectively.
- Proven ability to lead demand planning and inventory management processes in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product and pricing strategies.
- A degree from a premier institute is preferred, complemented by 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in e-commerce or retail management.
- High degree of adaptability and comfort working in an on-site environment at our Gurgaon headquarters, fostering a culture of collaboration and rapid execution.
