The HR Operations Leader will be responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle management, ensuring seamless HR service delivery across corporate and factory locations. The role will lead HR shared services, drive process standardization, compliance, automation, and deliver a superior employee experience while maintaining strong cost and control discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Life Cycle Management
- Own and govern the complete employee life cycle:
Onboarding, employee master data management, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and role changes, Separations, final settlements, and exit analytics
- Act as the process owner for lifecycle SOPs across locations.
2. Onboarding & Joining Experience
- Design and implement standardized onboarding frameworks for:
- Partner with TA and IT teams to deliver positive joining experience and reduce early attrition.
3. Payroll Management & Statutory Compliance
- Oversee monthly payroll operations for corporate and factory employees:
o Accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
- Manage payroll vendors and conduct periodic payroll audits.
- Lead statutory inspections, audits, and reconciliations.
4. Insurance & Benefits Administration
- Manage group insurance programs: Group Medical Insurance (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), Group Term Life (GTL)
- Policy renewals and negotiations, claim management and TAT improvement, employee communication and awareness sessions, Work closely with brokers and insurers to ensure cost efficiency and coverage adequacy.
5. HR Shared Services & Service Delivery
- Lead and scale HR Shared Services model supporting multiple factories and offices.
- Define SLAs, KPIs, and service metrics for HR service delivery.
- Drive centralization and standardization of: Employee queries , Letters & documentation, Data changes and approvals
- Ensure first-time-right delivery and improved employee satisfaction.
6. HR Systems, Data & Process Excellence
Automation of HR operations, Reduction of manual intervention, data accuracy and governance, build dashboards and MIS, Support digital initiatives aligned to organizational transformation goals.
7. Policy Governance & Compliance
- Draft, review, and implement HR operational policies aligned with: New Labour code, Internal governance standards, Ensure uniform policy interpretation across units, Partner with legal and IR teams on complex employee cases.
8. Stakeholder & Leadership Management
- Provide leadership with operational insights and risk flags.
- Support change management during restructuring, expansion, or digitization initiatives.
9. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop HR operations teams across locations.
- Build succession, cross-skill team members, and drive accountability.
- Foster a customer-centric service mindset within HR Operations.
