Job Description: Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Specialist - Gokaldas Exports Ltd.

Role Summary:
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will support the central C&B function at Gokaldas Exports, managing compensation structures, benefits administration, and rewards analytics across multiple factory locations and corporate teams. The role requires strong analytical ability, advanced Excel/macro skills, and a sound understanding of compensation practices in the apparel and garment manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Management:
- Support the annual increment, promotion, and bonus process across corporate and factory teams.
- Conduct salary benchmarking using industry-specific surveys and internal parity studies for sewing operators, supervisors, production, technical, and corporate roles.
- Maintain and update company-wide salary structures, pay ranges, and job grading frameworks aligned to Gokaldas Exports standards.
- Build compensation models using Excel macros, automation scripts, and cost simulations for decision-making.
- Partner with TA, HRBPs, and Plant HR for salary fitment recommendations for new hires.
- Prepare compensation analytics including compa-ratio, pay equity, manpower cost trends, cost-to-company analysis, and budget tracking.
- Support C&B governance, approval workflows, and documentation as per internal HR policies.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee insurance programs (GPA, GMC, GTL) in coordination with appointed brokers and TPAs.
- Manage end-to-end benefits processes-enrollments, claims, escalations, data correction, and renewals.
- Ensure accurate execution of statutory benefits across factory locations-PF, ESI, gratuity, maternity, bonus, canteen/subsidy schemes, and welfare components.
- Analyse claims ratios, benefit utilization, and cost trends to support annual renewal negotiations.
- Drive employee awareness campaigns on insurance coverage, wellness programs, and statutory benefits.
- Maintain accurate benefits data in existing HRMS and support compliance/audit teams.
Dashboards, Analytics & Automation:
- Design creative, user-friendly dashboards for leadership on key C&B metrics-manpower cost, compensation trends, benefit utilization, absenteeism cost impact, and incentive payouts.
- Automate recurring C&B reports and templates using Excel macros/VBA to improve efficiency.
- Provide data-driven insights for management reviews, Board presentations, and special projects.
Stakeholder & Factory Coordination:
- Work closely with Plant HR Heads, Corporate HR teams, Finance, and external partners to ensure smooth C&B operations.
- Act as a central point of coordination for factory-level benefits, wage revisions, and compliance alignment.
- Ensure consistent implementation of compensation and benefits policies across all units of Gokaldas Exports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA in HR or related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, preferably in apparel/garment/textile manufacturing.
- Expertise in Excel (including macros/VBA), cost modelling, and analytics.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance-PF, ESI, gratuity, wage revisions, and factory-level benefits.
- Experience working with HRMS tools (Darwinbox preferred).
- Ability to build dashboards (Excel/Power BI) with a creative and visual approach.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management-especially with multi-factory HR teams.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and process discipline.
