Job Purpose:

The Lead Sales Analytics is responsible for building and institutionalising GPL's sales analytics capability within the Sales Strategy function. The role translates large volumes of sales, market, and customer data into actionable intelligence enabling sharper decisions across pricing, inventory management, sales planning, and channel strategy. The incumbent will work closely with Sales Strategy, IT, Finance, and Zone S&M teams. This is a role for a builder someone who has designed and scaled analytics systems from near-scratch, not just consumed existing reports or maintained dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Analytics:

- Design and own the end-to-end sales analytics framework from data sourcing and hygiene to insight generation and business reporting

- Build and maintain project-level, zone-level, and portfolio-level dashboards tracking bookings, cancellations, pipeline conversion, and inventory velocity

- Develop predictive models for sales forecasting, project-wise absorption rates, and seasonal demand patterns

- Conduct funnel analysis to identify conversion drop-offs and generate hypothesis-driven recommendations for improvement

- Provide data support for AOP planning, mid-year reviews, and Board / leadership presentations

2. Market & Competitive Intelligence:

- Track and synthesise market data: micro-market trends, competitor project launches, prevailing prices, and absorption rates across GPL geographies

- Design and manage periodic primary research initiatives (consumer surveys, focus groups) in coordination with external agencies

- Build a structured competitive intelligence repository accessible to Sales Strategy and Zone teams

- Provide analytical inputs for product mix decisions, pricing strategy, and new deal evaluation

3. Pricing Analytics:

- Develop pricing models factoring in inventory age, project lifecycle stage, competitive benchmarks, and demand signals

- Track price realisation vs. target across projects and generate periodic pricing health reports

- Support development of dynamic pricing frameworks and evaluate pricing corridors for new launches

- Evaluate effectiveness of pricing interventions (scheme launches, incentives) with before/after analytics

4. CRM Data Management & Reporting Infrastructure:

- Own the analytics layer on top of CRM and ERP (SAP) systems; ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy

- Build automated reporting pipelines to reduce manual MIS effort across the Sales Strategy function

- Design and drive adoption of standardised data definitions, KPI taxonomies, and reporting formats across zones

- Partner with IT to evaluate and deploy analytics tools, BI platforms, and data visualisation solutions

5. Capability Building & Insight Communication:

- Build analytics literacy within zone sales teams through training on dashboards, data interpretation, and self-serve reporting tools

- Translate complex analytical outputs into crisp, decision-ready formats for senior leadership

- Manage a small team of analysts; mentor and develop analytical talent within the function

Who Are We Looking For?:

Education:

- MBA / post-graduate degree from a Tier 1 institution, preferably with a quantitative, analytics, or engineering focus

Experience:

- 7 - 10 years of total experience post qualification, with at least 5 - 6 years in analytics, business intelligence, or commercial strategy roles

- Demonstrated experience building analytics functions or capabilities from the ground up is essential not just operating within an existing system

- Experience in real estate, FMCG, consumer goods, financial services, or any data-rich B2C environment preferred

- Hands-on experience with CRM and ERP systems (SAP preferred) and the translation of raw transactional data into actionable commercial insights

Skills & Competencies:

- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; working knowledge of Python, R, or SQL is advantageous

- Experience with BI / data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)

- Ability to work with CRM and ERP data (SAP) and translate raw data into structured insights

- Strong structured communication able to tell a clear, compelling story from complex data for both analytical and non-analytical audiences

- High intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

What's in It for You?:

1. Be an Equal Parent:

- Maternity support, including paid leave ahead of statutory guidelines

- Paternity support, including paid leave

- Adoption support; gender-neutral and based on the primary caregiver

2. No Place for Discrimination:

- Same-sex partner benefits at par with married spouses

- Gender transition support

3. Wellness First:

- Comprehensive health insurance plans and accident coverage

- Trust-based sick leave

- Mental wellness and self-care programmes, resources, and counselling
