Job Purpose

The Lead Managing Directors Office will play a pivotal role in driving alignment, speed, and execution across GAVLs strategic priorities.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will lead the day-to-day operations, governance, and coordination of the Managing Directors Office (MDO) ensuring that the MDs vision is translated into action across the organization.

This is a high-impact role that combines strategic thinking, cross-functional orchestration, and executive effectiveness serving as the connective force between leadership intent and organizational execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment & Business Execution

- Partner with the Head of Strategy to translate the Managing Directors priorities into clear business actions and measurable outcomes.

- Drive cross-functional initiatives and transformation projects that advance GAVLs growth, value, and potential.

- Coordinate leadership reviews, strategic dashboards, and progress tracking across businesses and corporate functions.

- Ensure decision readiness for the MD providing data-driven insights, context, and recommendations.

2. Office of the Managing Director Operations

- Manage the rhythm, governance, and efficiency of the Managing Directors Office.

- Drive leadership meeting cadences, including agenda design, content preparation, and action follow-up.

- Represent the MDs office in relevant forums when delegated, ensuring continuity and follow-through on key initiatives.

- Maintain strong working relationships with business heads, function leaders, and external stakeholders.

3. Communication & Decision Support

- Develop high-quality briefs, presentations, and strategic communication for the Managing Directors internal and external engagements.

- Synthesize complex issues into crisp analyses, insights, and decision-support materials.

- Support the Head of Strategy in preparing reports, updates, and presentations for the Board and Group leadership.

4. Change Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

- Champion GAVLs transformation agenda embedding agility, accountability, and collaboration across teams.

- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose interventions that improve execution and organizational alignment.

- Drive initiatives that enhance leadership communication, employee engagement, and cultural renewal.

Educational Qualification:

MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in Business, Strategy, or related discipline.

Experience:

- 8-14 years of experience in strategy, business transformation, consulting, or leadership enablement roles within large diversified organizations.

- Proven experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and cross-functional programs.

- Familiarity with agribusiness, FMCG, or allied sectors will be advantageous.

Skills:

- Strong strategic and analytical thinking; ability to simplify complexity.

- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

- High ownership, discretion, and sound judgment.

- Proven ability to work effectively across functions and influence without authority.

- Strong program management discipline and bias for action.
