Role Overview


We're looking for a Creative Director (Copy) who is a writer first-always.

This is not a traditional TVC or long-format DVC role. We're looking for someone who has spent years writing performance marketing ads and influencer scripts-someone who knows how to stop the scroll, hold attention, and drive action.

What You'll Do

1. Performance Marketing (Primary Focus)

- Write high-performing ad scripts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid social

- Create multiple hooks, narratives, and CTAs for the same product

- Understand how copy impacts CTR, retention, and conversion

- Work closely with performance marketing teams to test, iterate, and scale creatives

2. Influencer Marketing

- Write creator scripts, briefs, and talking points that feel native and authentic

- Adapt brand messaging to different creator voices and formats

- Understand influencer-led formats like POVs, reviews, unboxings, trends, and challenges

- Elevate influencer content from basic briefs to culture-relevant storytelling

3. Creative Direction (Copy-Led)

- Own Boult's copy tone and cultural voice across performance and influencer content

- Mentor junior writers and content creators

- Ensure all communication feels Gen Z, current, and internet-native

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

5+ years of experience in:

- Performance marketing content

- Influencer marketing scripts

- Digital-first, social-first writing roles

- Strong copywriting background (not just strategy)

Experience at:

- Top influencer marketing agencies

- Performance marketing agencies

- Digital-native consumer brands

- Deep understanding of:

- Instagram & YouTube ad formats

- Creator economy and influencer culture

- Internet trends, memes, and Gen Z language

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience scaling ads across platforms and formats

- Ability to write fast, test fast, and optimize faster

- A portfolio of live ads and influencer content, not just presentations

What This Role Is NOT

- Not a TVC-first role

- Not a traditional DVC or film storytelling role

- Not a pure brand strategy position

This role is for someone who writes ads that perform and scripts creators people actually watch.
