Head of Internal Audit

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Internal Audit to lead and strengthen our internal audit function. Based at our headquarters in Guwahati, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the organization. This is a strategic role that reports directly to senior leadership and plays a critical part in safeguarding the companys financial integrity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy aligned with organizational goals.

- Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of financial, operational, and compliance audits.

- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the internal audit team.

- Identify and assess areas of financial and operational risk.

- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.

- Work closely with management to implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies.

- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.

- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and assess their impact on business practices.

- Present audit findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.

- Develop and deliver periodic audit reports and dashboards.

- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing audit team.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability.

- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure transparency and control across operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory

- MBA in Finance is preferred

Experience:

- 5 to 12 years of progressive experience in internal auditing within the healthcare industry

- Proven track record in risk management, financial auditing, and governance

- Experience managing and developing audit teams
