Introduction:
The Principal Analyst is a senior staff role within the Finance Capability Group, responsible for supporting, coordinating, and driving business-readiness and transformation activities across the entire Order to Cash (O2C) value stream-including both commercial and finance processes.
Additional knowledge of Global Trade Compliance (GTC) and Treasury is preferred.
- This position partners closely with the Capability Global Lead (CGL), and cross-functional stakeholders-including Data & Analytics, IT, other Capability Groups, and external partners-to enable process harmonization, manage risks, and deliver value across all relevant projects and initiatives.
- This role is designed as a developmental step toward the Business Manager / Business Readiness Lead position.
- The Analyst will gain hands-on experience in readiness leadership, stakeholder engagement, and program management, preparing for future advancement.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate business-readiness activities for transformation programs, process changes, and technology implementations across the full O2C value stream (commercial and finance), with additional focus on GTC and Treasury as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining business readiness roadmaps, project plans, and dashboards.
- Track and escalate risks, issues, and readiness gaps under the guidance of the CGL; support the design of mitigation strategies.
- Prepare draft executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and reports for review by the CGL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data & Analytics, IT, other Capability Groups, external partners) to ensure alignment and successful delivery of program objectives.
- Participate in process mapping, documentation, compliance checks, and business process harmonization efforts.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to harmonization projects.
- Perform all activities safely and responsibly and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Job Complexity:
- Works on moderately complex problems that require analysis of data and situations.
- Applies judgment within established procedures, practices, and policies; escalates complex issues to the CGL.
- Integrates work across departments and considers global impact under supervision.
Accountability:
- Delivers assigned work on time and with accuracy, ensuring alignment with Capability Group objectives.
- Maintains clear and timely communication with the CGL and project leads.
- Contributes to process improvement and harmonization efforts, supporting the CGL's accountability for transformation outcomes.
Relationship Focus:
- Builds and maintains cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Data & Analytics, IT, other Capability Groups, and external partners.
- Build relationships with internal customers and subject matter experts.
- Participates in formal and informal networks to support program objectives and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Foundational understanding of Order to Cash (O2C) processes, including both commercial and finance aspects.
- Awareness of global trade compliance and treasury operations.
- Experience with business process harmonization (BPH) projects.
- Familiarity with Oracle systems; preferred experience with SAP modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), RM (Receivable Management), GTS (Global Trade Services), and TRM (Treasury), including Quantum.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Business-level English required; additional languages a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance, business operations, project management, or transformation environments.
- Proven track record supporting business readiness, process improvement, or change management activities for large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
- Prior exposure to Order to Cash (O2C) processes is required; additional experience with Global Trade Compliance (GTC) and Treasury is preferred.
- This position may require occasional travel and flexible working hours to support global teams.
