Global Strategic Sourcing Role - Raw Materials/Chemicals/Commodities

Overview:

We are seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing with direct experience in sourcing raw materials, specifically in the commodities space. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the global sourcing strategy for our raw materials, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier quality, and reliable supply chains. The ideal candidate should be agile, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment, and demonstrate a strong capability in supplier evaluation, assessment, and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage global sourcing activities for chemicals commodities, focusing on raw materials.

- Build and nurture relationships with key suppliers globally, ensuring the best possible cost, quality, and service.

- Evaluate and assess suppliers based on criteria such as performance, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and compliance with global standards.

- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and pricing agreements.

- Drive continuous improvements in sourcing strategies, working cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and finance teams to align with organizational goals.

- Manage supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to sustainability standards.

- Stay updated on global market trends, emerging suppliers, and new technologies in the chemical industry to provide strategic insights.

- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure sourcing strategies align with the company's growth objectives.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

- Any Graduation / Post Graduation

- Direct sourcing experience in raw materials, specifically chemicals and commodities.

- Strong understanding of global supply chains, sourcing practices, and supplier management.

- Proven ability to evaluate and assess suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reduction strategies.

- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, start-up culture with the ability to pivot and adapt.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Global experience and familiarity with international markets and regulations is highly desirable.

- Agility and flexibility to work in a rapidly evolving environment with minimal supervision.
