Global Sourcing Head - Apparels

Job Purpose:

The Global Sourcing Head is responsible for defining and driving the global sourcing strategy in alignment with the business plans.

Job Description:

The Global Sourcing Head leads the sourcing portfolio for Global Business, working in close coordination with global sales and central planning teams. The role oversees annual business planning, vendor sourcing and development, cost optimization through product development, quality assurance, risk management, and financial coordination. The incumbent manages and develops vendor networks, and ensures adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Planning, Budgeting & Execution:

- Develop the annual business plan in alignment with the long-term business strategy and drive its execution.

- Develop and manage annual operating budgets.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives through continuous product development and sourcing efficiencies.

2. Sourcing Strategy & Product Development:

- Responsible for sourcing products as per defined lead times and business requirements.

- Continuously work on sourcing and development of new products in coordination with sales and product development teams to achieve cost efficiencies and business alignment.

- Ensure that sourcing strategies support overall business requirements and growth plans.

3. Production & Outsourcing Coordination:

- Coordinate with CPPC and plant production units to finalize sourcing and outsourcing requirements.

- Manage third party manufacturers or suppliers to ensure that orders are delivered as per business and sales plans.

- Ensure smooth alignment between sourcing plans and production execution.

4. Vendor Development, Contracts & Performance:

- Identify, establish, and develop a strong vendor network aligned with business requirements.

- Facilitate negotiation and award of contracts for efficient procurement.

- Conduct continuous evaluation of vendors on key deliverables as per SLAs, including cost, timely delivery, quality, and other agreed parameters.

5. Quality, Risk & Compliance Management:

- Drive the highest quality standards for products sourced from vendors or suppliers in line with business and customer requirement.

- Drive adherence to the organization's risk mitigation framework, covering external ecosystem, operational, financial, regulatory, and people-related risks.

6. Financial & Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with finance and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely closure of financial obligations.

7. People Leadership & Culture:

- Build and lead a high-performing CPPC team, ensuring productivity and engagement.

- Act as a mentor and coach, driving capability development in planning, analytics, and systems.

- Foster a culture aligned with company values, emphasizing ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
