About the Role:

- The Vice Principal will provide strategic academic leadership and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.


- The role involves translating the schools vision into actionable academic and administrative objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving initiatives that enhance teaching quality, student learning outcomes, and staff development.


- The incumbent will work closely with the Principal to achieve institutional goals and uphold the highest standards in education, discipline, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Strategy:

- Communicate and implement the schools vision, mission, and long-term academic goals within the school community.

- Provide daily academic leadership to ensure consistent and effective curriculum delivery aligned with high educational standards.

- Develop and monitor systems to measure learning outcomes, establish benchmarks, and ensure effective assessment and evaluation processes.

- Lead curriculum review meetings to ensure relevance, innovation, and alignment with institutional and regulatory requirements.

- Form and guide textbook committees, oversee book reviews, and ensure timely ordering of learning materials each academic year.

Faculty Development & Management:

- Plan and conduct professional development programs to enhance teaching methodologies and classroom practices.

- Manage staff allocation, classroom timetables, and academic workload in consultation with the Principal.

- Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure a high-quality teaching force.

- Conduct regular staff performance evaluations, identify gaps, and create action plans for professional growth.

- Recognize and nurture leadership potential among staff members for internal progression and succession planning.

Student Development & Discipline:

- Promote a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and healthy competition among students.

- Ensure discipline and pastoral care standards are maintained to foster a positive learning environment.

- Organize educational excursions, enrichment activities, and exposure programs to support holistic student development.

- Oversee new parent and student orientations, ensuring smooth integration and performance monitoring of new students.

- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, welfare, and development needs.

School Operations & Administration:

- Support the Principal in managing daily operations and represent the Principal when delegated.

- Schedule and conduct staff meetings and orientations; prepare and share agendas for transparency and efficiency.

- Maintain minutes and develop systems for effective follow-up on meeting outcomes.

- Assist in preparing and managing the schools annual budget by consolidating departmental plans and resource requirements.

- Conduct regular departmental audits and ensure progress aligns with the schools strategic goals.

- Ensure compliance with academic and operational standards as prescribed by SPEA and other educational authorities.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community to enhance the schools image and reputation.

- Foster parental involvement in student education, events, and institutional activities.

- Represent the school professionally in external forums and ensure staff and students act as positive ambassadors of the institution.

- Conduct and analyze feedback surveys from students, parents, and staff to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Health, Safety & School Culture:

- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students and staff.

- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper planning, safety compliance, and successful execution of school events.

- Promote a culture of openness, fairness, and collaboration to maintain high morale and professional ethics within the school community.

Key Requirements:

Education: Masters degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field (B.Ed./M.Ed. mandatory; Ph.D. preferred).

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in the education sector, including at least 5 years in a school leadership or management role.

Skills & Competencies:

- Proven academic leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

- Strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional methodologies, and assessment systems.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
