Global Demand Senior Planner

Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and dynamic Global Demand Senior Planner to lead demand forecasting and S&OP processes for global operations. This role is pivotal in providing end-to end demand visibility, forecasting accuracy, and proactive capacity planning across regions and vendors.

The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Planning, Logistics, Sales, and Program Management to align supply and demand, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure seamless business continuity.

This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in forecasting, analytics, and cross-functional coordination, especially within fast-paced manufacturing or renewable energy environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning & Forecasting

- Own the end-to-end global demand forecasting process at the project level.

- Provide weekly demand updates to vendors to secure capacity and manage production plans.

- Analyze demand signals, identify risks, and propose mitigation plans to maintain supply stability.

S&OP and Stakeholder Management

- Drive weekly Capacity vs. Demand review calls with key stakeholders (Sourcing, Program Management, Planning, etc.).

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations to ensure

holistic demand visibility.

- Present forecast and capacity insights to senior leadership through structured reports and dashboards.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

- Refresh and maintain demand metrics and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, or Anaplan).

- Track and improve forecast accuracy through data analytics and performance tracking.

- Lead initiatives to enhance existing S&OP processes and implement new demand planning methodologies.

Innovation & Process Optimization

- Develop creative approaches to measure, visualize, and communicate demand trends.

- Drive improvement projects across global demand planning processes and tools.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Anaplan (preferred).

- Experience in S&OP, demand forecasting, or supply planning in a global context.

- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

- Exposure to renewable energy, manufacturing, or electronics sectors preferred.
