Job Description Locations: Hyderabad (India)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Global Controller Vision

- Global Controller leads end-to-end financial governance for a multi-country business spanning Oracle product development, cloud delivery, subscription models, and consulting services.

- The role requires deep expertise in revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, international tax structures, and global financial operations.

Key Responsibilities (Elaborated) :


- Strategic Financial Leadership - Spearheaded the financial vision and long-term strategic roadmap for the organization, ensuring seamless alignment with global growth objectives and expansion plans across India, USA, and Costa Rica.

- Designed advanced financial models, multi-year forecasts, and scenario simulations that supported leadership decisions relating to new markets, product diversification, pricing strategies, and operational scale.

- Served as a strategic advisor to the CEO by providing insights on business restructuring, margin enhancement, investment viability, and capital allocation.

This partnership enabled informed decision-making at the enterprise level.

Global Financial Reporting, Accounting & Governance :


- Directed the complete lifecycle of global financial reporting, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all geographies and adherence to US GAAP, local statutory laws, and cross-country compliance frameworks.

- Built strong financial governance mechanisms including internal controls, audit frameworks, accounting policies, and robust documentation standards.

- Led statutory audits, internal audits, and SOX compliance initiatives, ensuring no major observations and maintaining 100% audit readiness.

- Introduced standardized accounting practices, reporting templates, and global SOPs, ensuring uniformity in financial operations across all business units.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments - Led M&A strategy end-to-end, including financial due diligence, risk assessment, valuation modelling, synergy evaluation, and acquisition viability analysis.

- Built advanced valuation models using DCF, comparable analysis, and industry benchmarks to guide leadership in evaluating acquisition attractiveness.

- Collaborated cross-functionally with HR, legal, engineering, and operations to assess cultural alignment, integration readiness, and potential risk exposures.

- Oversaw post-acquisition financial integration by transitioning acquired entities into unified systems, controls, and reporting structures.

Compliance, Taxation, Payroll & Regulatory Oversight - Ensured accurate and timely payroll processing and statutory compliance across India, the USA, and Costa Rica, aligning with local laws and global standards.

- Directed global taxation operations including GST, TDS, US federal/state tax filings, sales tax regulations, and Costa Rican statutory submissions.

- Enabled compliant revenue recognition across product, service, and subscription models while ensuring alignment with ASC 606, IFRS, and GAAP.

- Built strong risk management controls and compliance audits to minimize regulatory exposure and strengthen financial integrity.

Budgeting, Forecasting, Performance Analysis & Cost Optimization - Led the annual operating plan (AOP) and budgeting cycles, facilitating targeted planning and effective allocation of resources across departments.

- Conducted in-depth variance analysis, revenue projections, profitability studies, and operational efficiency reviews, helping leadership make data-driven choices.

- Identified and implemented cost optimization initiatives across procurement, technology, staffing, and delivery-significantly improving margins and EBITDA.

Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA preferred.

- CA/CPA/CMA highly desirable.

- 12-18+ years of senior-level financial experience across multi-country operations.

- Hands-on experience with US GAAP, GST/TDS, payroll, M&A, and revenue recognition.

- Demonstrated ability to lead global finance teams and manage cross-border functions.

- Proficiency with ERP systems, financial automation, and BI platforms.
