Global Category Manager - Logistics Services

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Category Manager Logistic Services to join an international procurement team managing indirect spend across logistics categories.

This role will play a key part in defining global category strategies and delivering procurement excellence across warehousing, inbound/outbound transportation, seafreight, and airfreight services.

The position requires strong expertise in procurement, category management, and stakeholder engagement, with a global mindset and agility to navigate a fast-paced logistics market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement global spend category strategies, supply chain roadmaps, and project procurement plans for logistics services.

- Conduct market research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and enhance procurement outcomes.

- Lead the end-to-end source-to-contract process, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract finalization.

- Manage supplier relationships to maximize procurement value, ensuring performance and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, standards, and best practices.

- Engage with internal demand owners and stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with business needs.

- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of procurement processes.

- Contribute to financial planning processes, including annual budgets and forecasts for logistics spend.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Masters degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

- 4 - 6 years of experience in procurement or logistics, with a strong track record in category management.

- Deep understanding of global procurement processes and logistics market dynamics.

- Strong project management and analytical skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, e-tendering tools, and end-to-end S2C/P2P processes.

- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German or other languages is a plus.

- International exposure and cross-functional collaboration experience are advantageous.
