Global Business Head
Job Description:
A leading capital equipment manufacturing client of ours is looking for a Global Business Head to be based out of Bangalore.
Role Overview:
The visionary Business Head will lead the company's Polymer & Plastics Systems vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accelerating growth, expanding the product portfolio, and building strong customer relationships across global markets. This is a leadership role combining strategic thinking, commercial acumen, technical expertise, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement business growth strategies across geographies and industry verticals.
- Lead sales and market development initiatives in polymer processing and capital equipment domains.
- Manage a robust product and solutions portfolio across extrusion, compounding, and engineering plastics.
- Drive customer segmentation, product-market fit, and differentiated value propositions
- Build and mentor a high-performing business team with strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee proposal development, pricing strategies, solution selling, and customer success programs.
- Lead product innovation and standardization to deliver cost efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Track performance metrics, optimize portfolio margins, and build data-led business intelligence.
- Develop and nurture key customer and channel partner relationships globally
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A B.Tech in Mechanical/ Plastics / Polymers / Instrumentation Engineering with 20+ years of experience in capital equipment or process systems related to polymers, plastics, extrusion, engineering, manufacturing or chemicals.
- At least 5 years in a senior P&L leadership role.
- Proven track record in scaling businesses, entering new markets, and launching new products.
- Experience working with large key accounts across India and international markets
- Deep understanding of value chains in polymer or related industries.
- Strong commercial, pricing, and solution-selling capabilities.
- Exposure to proposal management (RFQs, RFPs, portfolio development).
- Ability to lead without authority and influence cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, innovation-focused, and execution-driven.
- Strong learning agility and ability to navigate business uncertainty.
