Global Brand Planner - Domestic FMCG
JOB PURPOSE:
Strategize, create and launch new products and innovations in different markets, working with the Marketing Head- NPD, responsible for NPD stream of the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
Build and execute NPD marketing vision and strategy:
- Specifically focusing on identifying opportunities for new product development and ensuring successful market entry in the relevant markets.
Brand strategy:
- Strategic planning of assigned brands. Building positioning documents, communication idea, variant architecture and identifying relevant NPDs for those brands.
Create a clear roadmap for getting consumer insights for innovation:
- Work with the insights team to uncover unmet needs, emerging trends and white spaces that can inform new product development.
Full mix development:
- Develop full mix starting from idea/ concept, including product, packaging, pricing and advertising (post concept validation) that can win in the market place.
- Get the mix ready for the launch with an optimum launch plan and KPIs for market success.
Project Management:
- Manage the NPD projects with the cross functional team to ensure timely development of new mixes ready to go to market at the optimum cost.
Performance monitoring and analysis:
- Track and analyze brand performance, key marketing metrics (e.g., brand awareness, market share, sales), and campaign effectiveness, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Monitor Competitive NPD Activities:
- Stay abreast of new product launches and innovation strategies of competitors in the Indian FMCG market.
- MBA is mandatory
