Global Banking Institution - Vice President- Non-Financial Risk

About the Role:

A leading global banking institution is hiring a Director Non-Financial Risk to lead its Institutional Non-Financial Risk function within the Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru. The role will build and scale front-office aligned risk capabilities supporting Markets, Transaction Banking, and Corporate Finance globally. The incumbent will drive governance, resilience, financial crime, regulatory compliance, and risk reporting while partnering with senior business leaders to strengthen sustainable risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Institutional Non-Financial Risk function for the Global Capability Centre with end-to-end ownership of governance and execution.

- Partner with business leadership across Markets, Transaction Banking, and Corporate Finance to strengthen front-office risk management.

- Build and scale Risk Centre of Excellence capabilities across resilience, financial crime, regulatory compliance, governance, and reporting.

- Drive effective risk governance, control frameworks, and risk management during business and regulatory change.

- Develop and lead a high-performing team through capability building, coaching, and succession planning.

- Collaborate with global stakeholders, control functions, and second line of defense teams to deliver consistent risk outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 12-18 years of experience in Institutional Banking with significant exposure to Non-Financial Risk.

- Strong understanding of Markets, Transaction Banking, and Corporate Finance products and operating environments.

- Proven leadership experience managing large risk teams within global financial institutions.

- Deep expertise in governance, operational resilience, financial crime, compliance, and enterprise risk frameworks.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and control functions.

- Willing to work onsite from Bengaluru.
