Job Description :
- The role holder will be responsible to formulate and drive the implementation of the overall business strategy at the Corporate level through detailed, fact-based analysis of internal data and external market trends.
- The incumbent will execute high level strategic initiatives across geographies, portfolio analysis, analysis of specialty/innovative pipeline, evaluation of new product ideas/in-licensing ideas, undertake M&A evaluations and market entry assessment exercises, develop long range business plans, undertake analysis of operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improving the organizations top and bottom line.
- Develop detailed long range plan & organization wide framework to assist strategic decision making across key businesses & functions including the global markets, Operations, Supply Chain and R&D
- Provide domain expertise to both internal and external stakeholders and further enhance Glenmarks innovation and specialty pipeline
- Undertake scenario analysis to define the most optimal plan for the firm and regularly update the model based on progress of key projects and market trends
- Evaluate and drive various acquisition and divestment opportunities from strategic and financial perspective, monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure the organizations diversification strategy
- Support business development efforts by supporting due-diligence activities for potential in/out-licensing opportunities
- Evaluate ongoing market trends and perform thorough research to identify key changes required in business plans & priorities for market expansion and new market entry opportunities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Professional Experience :
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in corporate strategy, business development, or management consulting, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape
- Knowledge of drug development pathways, new chemical/biological entities, US market regulations
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and develop actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Education Qualification :
MBA from top-tier B-school & Bachelors Degree in Medicine, Chemical or Pharmaceutical Sciences preferred
Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical) :
- Relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical/Consulting/Life Sciences industry
- Strong analytical capability
- Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
