At GKB Hitech Lenses Pvt. Ltd., one of Indias leading ophthalmic lens manufacturers, were driving operational excellence across our manufacturing and service ecosystem. As we expand across multiple plants and regional hubs, were looking for an Operations Head to lead and scale end-to-end operations ensuring consistency, quality, and agility.

What Youll Lead:

JOB OBJECTIVES:

To lead and manage end to end operations across multiple plants and locations in India ensuring standardized processes, operational excellence, timely execution and consistent quality and delivery. The role drives operational discipline bottom-up and ensure effective execution of management directives top-down.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Oversight:

- Manage day to day operations across labs and service locations ensuring smooth execution and adherence to delivery schedules.

- Drive operational discipline through structured review mechanisms, performance dashboards and daily monitoring of key operational metrics.

- Ensure seamless coordination between production, materials, and dispatch functions for timely order fulfilment.

- Identify operational bottlenecks, implement corrective actions and ensure business continuity and adherence to company SOPs, quality and safety standards.

- Plan and Execute operational strategies for production expansion, process optimization and cost efficiency.

Supply Chain & Dispatch Coordination:

- Oversee end to end order management, including order processing, material flow, dispatch planning and delivery tracking.

- Maintain real time visibility of order status across all regions.

- Ensure timely communication between productions, logistics, and customers teams to avoid delivery delays.

- Track and report dispatch performance, delivery accuracy and turnaround times.

- Ensure operational readiness during scale-ups, surges, or new product roll-outs

Labs & Quality Oversight:

- Oversee lab operations across all company facilities across India.

- Ensure testing standards, accuracy and timelines are consistently maintained.

- Drive alignment between operational and quality objectives to meet customer expectations.

- Partner with lab heads to resolve technical and operational challenges impacting productivity or quality output.

Financial Oversight:

- Manage collections and ensure timely receipts of payment.

- Collaborate with finance and operations team to maintain financial discipline and operational profitability.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

Years and Nature of Experience:

- 15-18 years in Operations management, including 5+ years in leadership roles in Indian start-ups or high growth tech sectors.

- Proven ability to establish operational systems, processes and team from scratch.
