Job Purpose:
- The Head - Liaison is responsible for leading and overseeing all Liaisoning activities across PMC, PCMC, PMRDA, and other statutory authorities, ensuring timely approvals and NOCs for multiple real estate projects.
- The incumbent is also expected to drive strategic process improvements, ensure timely and project-aligned approvals, and establish transparency and governance in all liaison and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaisoning & Approvals:
- Liaise with senior officials from PMC, PCMC, PMRDA, and other urban/local authorities to resolve matters impeding project progress.
- Responsible for securing all project sanctions, NOCs, and approvals (Civil, Fire, Electrical, etc.) within the defined timelines.
- Strategize and fast-track approval processes by proacatively identifying potential roadblocks and mitigating them.
Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvements:
- Drive standardisation and automation of Liaisoning and compliance processes across projects for consistency, speed, and real-time tracking.
- Streamline the project-wise status dashboard, including tracking pending approvals and setting up triggers for follow-up.
- Establish a standard project-wise liaison budgeting mechanism for transparency and monitoring.
- Create standardised reporting mechanisms with automated trackers to provide visibility to senior leadership.
- Strategically drive the pace of approvals in line with project schedules, ensuring timely handover of approvals and NOCs to meet execution milestones.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely sharing of information necessary for external approvals.
- Pre-empt potential issues by analysing regulatory trends and department backlogs and identifying high-risk zones.
- Liaise with government bodies proactively to mitigate roadblocks and safeguard enterprise risks.
Compliance Management - RERA, EC, MPCB:
- Oversee registration and compliance with RERA, including timely updates.
- Oversee EC and MPCB approval processes, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Leadership & Reporting:
- Oversee the RERA, EC, and MPCB teams, conducting audits and reviews.
- Establish project-wise dashboards and ensure real-time status visibility.
- Share updates and critical reports regularly with internal stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with key government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain external relationships to ensure support from government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the organization in meetings and handle escalations effectively.
Litigation Support:
- Coordinate with the Legal team to support litigation related to RERA and other regulatory approvals.
Strategic Planning & Monitoring:
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and align internal strategy to mitigate impact on ongoing/future projects.
