Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic GM - Visual Merchandising & Growth to lead the national visual merchandising mandate across 3000+ stores for a leading pharmacy & FMCG retail organization. This national leadership role will drive in-store experience excellence, category growth, and visual transformation across multi-regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Define and drive a unified national visual merchandising vision, creating differentiated in-store environments across categories and regions.
- Partner closely with Operations and Category teams to deliver AOP targets across regions.
- Translate brand and category initiatives into impactful VM strategies with consistent execution across stores.
Execution & Expansion:
- Lead timely VM planning and execution for rapid new store expansion.
- Oversee national execution of planograms, POS branding, displays, seasonal campaigns, and new store launches.
- Ensure 100% SOP compliance across all regions.
Analytics & Growth:
- Leverage analytics to identify growth opportunities and influence store-level actions.
- Introduce industry-leading retail trends in design, shopper behavior, and digital merchandising for competitive differentiation.
People & Budget Management:
- Lead and develop a team of Regional VM Managers to ensure best-in-class VM delivery.
- Manage national VM budgets while ensuring cost-effective, scalable solutions.
Key Requirements:
- MBA from a Tier-1 B-School (Mandatory)
- 4-5 years of experience in Retail Visual Merchandising or Retail Transformation
- Experience leading multi-regional or diverse teams
- Strong commercial, analytical, and execution orientation
- Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Industry Background:
- Pharma Retail | Retail | Healthcare | Pharmaceuticals | FMCG
Interview Process:
- 3-4 Rounds
- Final 2 rounds will be in-person (mandatory) in Hyderabad
- Travel & accommodation will be covered by the client
Candidate Quality Checks:
- Fluent in English (Read / Write / Speak)
- Strong job stability (minimum 3-5 years with at least one employer)
- Experience with large, reputed organizations preferred
- Minimum 80% skill match with the JD
CTC Budget: Up to 42 LPA
