Role Overview:
We are looking for a General Manager - Valuations & FP&A to lead Valuations and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at the Corporate Office in Mumbai. Reporting to the Senior Vice President - FP&A & Investor Relations, this is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategic finance, business partnering, and long-term value creation.
This role requires deep expertise in business valuation, financial modelling, strategic planning, and performance analysis, coupled with strong business partnering capabilities. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership, business teams, and key stakeholders to drive financial performance, investment analysis, and strategic growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
1. Valuation & Strategic Finance
- Lead end-to-end valuation assignments for investments, M&A opportunities, divestitures, and strategic initiatives
- Develop and review advanced financial models including DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and scenario analysis
- Support investment evaluation, capital allocation decisions, and ROI analysis to drive business growth
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders on transaction structuring, due diligence, and strategic finance initiatives
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes
- Lead financial performance reviews, variance analysis, and business insights across functions
- Develop dashboards, KPI frameworks, and analytical models to support data-driven decision-making
- Prepare executive and board-level financial presentations and strategic reports
3. Business Partnering & Leadership
- Partner with business and functional leaders to provide commercial and financial insights supporting organisational objectives
- Monitor market trends, macroeconomic developments, and business risks impacting financial performance
- Lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement
- Drive financial governance, process optimisation, and transformation initiatives within the finance function
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; MBA / CFA will be an added advantage
- 12-15 years in Valuations, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance (Mandatory)
- Prior experience in a Big 4, large multinational, or matrixed organisation preferred
- Exposure to hospitality, real estate, or asset-heavy conglomerates is a strong plus
- Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise (DCF, M&A, comparable analysis),
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Executive presence with the ability to engage and persuade senior leadership
- Proven ability to structure and communicate complex financial narratives clearly
