General Manager - Tendering - Solar EPC

Role Overview:

The General Manager - Tender will lead all tendering, estimation, and bidding activities for solar EPC and structure fabrication projects. The role requires a blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, and leadership skills to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end tendering for solar ground-mount and rooftop projects.

- Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to prepare techno-commercial offers.

- Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing strategies for EPC and fabrication works.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams for cost inputs and compliance.

- Participate in pre-bid meetings and manage clarifications and documentation.

- Maintain a database of vendor rates, project costs, and tender outcomes.

- Lead and mentor the tendering team to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred).

- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or project costing for:

- Solar EPC (ground mount & rooftop)

- Structural fabrication or renewable energy projects

- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and ERP-based costing tools.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
