ABOUT THE CLIENT: - Our client is a leading player in the Logistics space funded and backed by a well known Indian business house. BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE: - Our client is looking for a visionary and strategic General Manager - Technology to lead their technology initiatives across India. - Reporting to the CEO, the role will play a critical role in shaping the technological direction of the company, driving innovation, and ensuring technological capabilities align with business goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall technology strategy aligned with business objectives. Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of Tech initiatives. - Engineering Leadership: Oversee the development of scalable and cutting edge software products, work closely with product management to define product features, ensuring they meet market demands and exceed customer expectations, and ensure that the software architecture is scalable, flexible, and robust. - Infrastructure and Systems: Implement robust cyber security measures and data privacy protocols to manage the company's data effectively & securely. Optimize technology operations to ensure they are efficient, cost-effective, and support rapid scaling. - Digital Transformation: Drive digital innovation across the organization, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. Explore emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency. - Cybersecurity: Establish and enforce robust cyber security measures to safeguard tech assets and data. - SAP implementation: Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP systems. Drive the adoption of industry best practices to streamline business processes. - Maintaining partnerships and relationships: Collaborate with executives and communicate the tech vision to stakeholders. Develop partnerships with suppliers, technology vendors, and other companies in the industry. - Budgets: Create and manage technology budget and allocate resources optimally for running expenditure and future investments. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: - Bachelors or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - MBA would be a huge plus - 15-20 years of experience with proven experience as a CTO or similar executive leadership role - In-depth knowledge of Tech systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills - Excellent leadership and communication abilities - Experience in Digital Transformation, Emerging Technologies, AI/ML, Data Science, Cyber security, IoT, and Mobility
