Role Overview:

The General Manager - Supply Chain will lead and manage the entire supply chain function, ensuring seamless procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong leadership to optimize cost, improve service levels, and support business growth.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:


- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.


- Forecast demand and plan procurement, production, and distribution accordingly.


2. Procurement & Vendor Management:


- Oversee sourcing of raw materials and packaging.


- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.


3. Inventory & Warehouse Management:


- Ensure optimal inventory levels across multiple locations.


- Implement WMS and ERP systems for real-time visibility.


4. Logistics & Distribution:


- Manage transportation, 3PL partners, and last-mile delivery.


- Drive OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and cost optimization.


5. Compliance & Risk Management:


- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety norms, and audit readiness.


- Identify risks and develop contingency plans.


6. Team Leadership:


- Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team.


- Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


7. Reporting & Analytics:


- Monitor KPIs: inventory accuracy, OTIF, cost-to-serve, and lead times.


- Provide regular MIS and dashboards to senior management.


Qualifications:


- MBA or Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.


- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar), WMS/TMS tools.


- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
