Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy ecosystem with a strong presence in solar manufacturing and solutions. With an aggressive growth trajectory and expanding market footprint, the organization is looking to strengthen its leadership team in the commercial function.

Role Overview

The General Manager - Sales will lead the solar modules business across key markets, with end-to-end ownership of volume (MW), revenue, and margin performance. This is a high-visibility leadership role involving strategic account management, channel expansion, and commercial negotiations with marquee clients across the solar value chain.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive solar PV module sales across domestic and/or international markets

- Own and deliver volume (MW), revenue, and margin targets

- Build and manage strategic relationships with key customer segments:

- EPC companies (primary focus), Solar developers, Procurement and project teams

- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts, credit terms, and long-term supply agreements

- Track market trends, competitor pricing, and demand-supply dynamics to refine sales strategy

- Manage the complete order lifecycle from booking to delivery

- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams for seamless execution

- Provide strategic inputs on product positioning, go-to-market strategy, and market expansion

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of B2B sales experience in the solar modules industry

- Strong track record of managing large-scale (MW-level) sales and achieving revenue/margin targets

- Deep understanding of solar module market dynamics, pricing, and customer segmentation

- Proven experience working with EPCs, developers, and large distributors

- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to negotiate and close large deals

- Experience in key account management and channel development

Education

- B.Tech / Engineering (preferred)

- MBA (preferred)
