General Manager PEB Sales (EAST Region)


Job Description:


A. Role & Context


Purpose:


- Strategizing sales and marketing of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB) in the assigned region/zone.

- Building a strong market base with effective client and industry contacts.

- Training and developing a capable sales team in the region.

Context:

- Responsible for overall business performance and growth in the assigned region.

- Managing major projects and key clients within the region, including government and corporate sectors.

- Leading, training, and developing regional teams to meet evolving market demands.


B. Role Accountabilities

Overview:

- Secure business from major clients, corporates, and government bodies in the region.

- Stay ahead of competitors through market intelligence and proactive business strategies.

- Maintain updated records of competitors (both large and small) and use insights to strengthen regional business performance.

- Develop and sustain a strong network with leading architects, consultants, and industry stakeholders.

- Ensure timely collection of payments and proper management of letters of credit for ongoing projects.

- Lead training and development initiatives for the regional team to enhance market responsiveness and capability.


C. Experience and Qualifications


Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge:


- Graduate Engineer (Mechanical/Civil) with 1520 years of experience in PEB / Structural Steel / Project Sales.

- Strong technical understanding of steel structures, pricing, and project execution processes.

- Proven track record in handling large corporate and government clients.

- MBA (Marketing) from a reputed institute is desirable.

Minimum Entry Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.


D. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Achievement of quote activity, order intake, and shipment targets for the territory.

- Addition of new customers and expansion of market share.

- Customer satisfaction and retention levels.

- Timely collection of outstanding payments and maintenance of healthy cash flow.


E. Key Relationships & Decision Making


Reports to: Vice President Sales & Marketing

External Network: Customers, Government Bodies

Internal Network: Construction Management Group, Project Management Group, Sales & Marketing Head Office

Decision-Making Authority: Responsible for the overall performance of the East Region and achieving assigned sales and profitability targets.
