To develop, implement and drive the Sales Strategy for the newly launched structural steel division
To maintain strong work relationships with clients/customers, business partners-fabricators, builders and consultants etc.
To develop the focused approach on leading sales growth plans and business development, manage & develop the teams to meet sales targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Strategic, Leadership & Planning for pan India Sales function for structural steel division
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for the structural steel business focused on the market, aligning with the corporate objectives.
- Strategize the launch plans, sales pitch for the division and own seamless execution amongst various internal stakeholders & sales team in delivering the project.
- Exhibit ownership for flawless project execution and ensure to maintain highest customer satisfaction score (as per the agreed target).
- Monitor market trends, market intelligence, competitor activities, and regulatory/compliance requirements related to structural steel.
Sales Operations & Business Development:
- Prepare the business development plans and achieve the annual top & bottom-lines as per the defined performance standards.
- Map the market and identify potential customers, geographies and generate the business accordingly
- Develop, implement and manage sales forecasting activities, targets, sectors, markets, territories and achieve performance standards
- Manage after-sales activities, including customer visits, works contract and amendments.
- Develop and present sales reports, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization and capacity enhancement.
- Review and analyze sales performance against plans to determine effectiveness and drive to meet the defined targets.
- Meet with key clients to ensure relationships are maintained and further nurtured.
- Plan and manage the sales annual budgets Business development, team engagement, and Ops. Cost.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement amongst the team members
- Mentor the staff, devise the training plans for team development, provide timely feedback for team engagement, and of team performance enhancement.
- Partner with the marketing department to develop campaigns that build brand awareness and support business development activities.
- Provide technical support and product details to customers, effectively communicating the value of the structural steel products & products of the organisation
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge - 20 years of experience in Sales function for PEB / Structural Steel / Steel Products/ heavy construction materials industry.
- Should have hands-on experience in SAP
- Familiarity with relevant structural steel codes and standards, applicable at various places.
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
- B. Tech / BE (Mechanical Engineering)
- MBA in Sales and Marketing (Preferable)
