Role Overview:

As the GM Sales India (Dairy Products), you will spearhead the sales operations for our dairy product portfolio across India. Your day-to-day will involve developing and executing sales strategies, managing a large sales team, and building strong relationships with key distributors and retailers. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and achievement of revenue targets. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving market share growth, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring customer satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success in the Indian dairy market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets and expand market share for dairy products across India.

- Lead and mentor a large sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maximize their effectiveness and achieve individual and team goals.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal product placement, promotion, and availability.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and develop innovative sales initiatives.

- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans, efficient inventory management, and accurate sales forecasting.

- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to sales and distribution of dairy products.

- Manage the sales budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve cost-efficiency.

- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and launching new products, to drive sustainable growth.

- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows, building brand awareness and networking with potential customers and partners.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market share expansion in the dairy or FMCG industry.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop a large sales team to achieve ambitious goals.

- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with key distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

- Deep understanding of the Indian dairy market, including consumer preferences, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
