Our client is in the business of chemically recycling post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and is currently expanding its branding and operational team and looking to fill the designated positions. The General Manager Sales will be accountable for developing and executing the strategic global and domestic market strategy for the company.
This position reports to the CEO and VP Marketing (dotted).
Purpose of the Position:
To oversee global rPET chips Sales and Marketing, ensuring that business targets are consistently achieved. This role is responsible for developing high-quality strategies and plans that align the team with the organization's Vision, Mission, and Values. The position also ensures that a "Customer-First" mindset business the Gold Standard across all levels of operations.
Key Objectives / Deliverables:
- Ensuring that the assigned sales target of rPET chip products manufactured by the Company are meet in line with annual sales and marketing plan, strategy and team.
- Expertise in the manufacturing and supply of high-quality reprocessed rPET chips.
- Dedicated to advancing sustainable polymer solutions that contribute to environmental conservation.
- Improving margins by better price realization and reducing finished inventory levels.
- Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads to agreed norms and reducing bad debts
- Passionate about driving innovation in reprocessed plastics to reduce environmental footprint...
- Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies for new business in bottles, films, carpets including their yield and potential margins.
- Identifying and converting customers into business partners from the standpoint of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) and New product Development (NPD)
- Developing best national and global brands.
- Jointly accountable with operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and customer retention as per agreed norms of OTIF deliveries, quality standards, after sales service, and NPD.
- Implement established media and compliance guidelines for all PR activities as well as identity new risk area as potential solutions.
Education:
- Bachelors / master's in Polymer Engineering or Applied Polymer Engineering coupled with an MBA with Marketing as the specialization.
- 15 - 20 years' experience in sales & marketing of rPET / plastics / polymer products in the international markets.
- Excellent understanding of demand and supply structures and consumer behaviour in the Brand segment.
- Deep understanding and insights of the global PET marketplaces.
