Job Description: General Manager Reverse Logistics Solutions Position Title: General Manager Reverse Logistics Solutions Department: Supply Chain / Circular Economy / Recycling Operations Location: Corporate Office (PAN India Operations) Reporting To: CEO / Chief Operations Officer / Business Head Position Overview: The General Manager Reverse Logistics Solutions will be responsible for leading the design, execution, and optimization of reverse logistics and recovery systems across the organization. This includes managing collection, aggregation, transportation, and processing of post-consumer and post-industrial waste materials, ensuring cost efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. The role requires deep understanding of recycling, waste value chain management, EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), and logistics operations across multiple cities. The GM will drive business growth, operational efficiency, and technology integration in the reverse logistics domain. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth: - Develop and execute the Pan-India Reverse Logistics strategy for collection and recovery of recyclable and waste materials. - Drive business expansion and partnerships with producers, brand owners, aggregators, and logistics service providers. - Develop new reverse supply chain models supporting circular economy and sustainability goals. - Collaborate with the leadership team to identify growth opportunities and build scalable business solutions. 2. Reverse Logistics Operations: - Lead end-to-end logistics planning, vendor management, and route optimization for efficient waste collection and movement. - Manage collection centers, aggregation hubs, and material recovery facilities (MRFs). - Optimize transportation costs, turnaround time, and asset utilization across regions. - Ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards in handling and movement of materials. 3. EPR & Recycling Integration: - Support and lead EPR implementation for producers and brand owners. - Collaborate with recycling partners to ensure efficient material flow and traceability. - Track and report collection volumes, recycling performance, and sustainability metrics. - Liaise with government agencies and clients to ensure EPR compliance and documentation. 4. Technology & Process Improvement: - Implement digital logistics and tracking platforms for real-time visibility and analytics. - Leverage data to improve route planning, inventory control, and cost performance. - Drive automation and innovation in material collection and processing. - Establish SOPs, KPIs, and dashboards for performance monitoring and governance. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: - Work closely with procurement, operations, sustainability, and finance teams for integrated business performance. - Lead, mentor, and develop regional teams and partners for operational excellence. - Ensure adherence to corporate governance, safety, and sustainability standards. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Environmental Science. - MBA or Postgraduate degree in Operations / Logistics / Sustainability preferred. - 15-20 years of experience in logistics, waste management, recycling, or circular economy domains. - Proven track record of leading large-scale reverse logistics or recovery networks. - Strong understanding of EPR, waste segregation, and recycling ecosystem.
