Role Overview:

The General Manager, Residential Living & Hospitality, will lead this transformation. You will:

- Build and structure a future-facing business unit from the ground up,

- Shape strategy, financial models, operations, technology, and talent,

- Launch with Enaki, our flagship residential experience, and expand across the country,

- Pioneer a hybrid living model that combines long-term residence, short-term stays, and curated amenities,

- Drive innovation, digital enablement, and service excellence.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is a foundational leadership position in a company redefining property development and residential experience in Kenya.

Key Mandates

1. Strategic Vision & Business Building unit

- Identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and innovation paths in residential asset performance.

- Lead the phased rollout of the department across multiple developments.

2. Operational Leadership

- Create SOPs, service protocols, maintenance frameworks, technology systems, and reporting tools.

- Oversee letting operations (including short stays/AirBnB) and develop efficient processes to maximize rental yield.

- Ensure amenities are optimized as both lifestyle assets and revenue centers.

3. Financial Oversight

- Design sustainable service charge models, budgets, and financial plans.

- Implement cost control and revenue enhancement strategies.

- Monitor KPIs including occupancy, retention, NPS, yield, and cost-efficiency.

4. People & Team Culture

- Hire, train, and lead high-performance teams across site and head office functions.

- Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

5. Technology Integration

- Digitize operations using leading PropTech and automation tools.

- Build real-time dashboards, customer service platforms, and mobile experiences for residents.

- Maximizing rental yields through optimized letting operations (including furnished, short-stay, and long-term models),

- Enhancing capital appreciation through pristine asset upkeep, thoughtful amenity curation, and consistent service excellence,

- Creating an ecosystem of high-performing residential assets that strengthen the brand value of each development over time.

This approach is a direct enabler of our off-plan sales platform, where investors seek not just beautiful homes, but profitable, well-managed, future-proofed investments.

The General Manager will be responsible for:

- Establishing reporting frameworks that provide clarity on service charge expenditure, maintenance updates, and project performance,

- Designing communication systems (dashboards, updates, digital portals) that keep homeowners consistently informed,

- Managing relationships with homeowners committees with professionalism, empathy, and accountability,

- Setting a new benchmark in trust and transparency hallmarks of our brand promise.

The ideal candidate brings:

- 15+ years in property or hospitality leadership, preferably in mixed-use or serviced residences.

- A deep understanding of residential property and facilities management, letting strategy, and hospitality operations.

- Proven experience in launching new business units or scaling new models.

- Strong financial, operational, and strategic thinking, backed by real results.

- Passion for building great teams and delivering exceptional service experiences.
