Purpose - Why does this role exist?:
The Project Manager Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal is a senior leadership role responsible for orchestrating the erection, Commissioning, handover of Air, Water & Gas related to Balance Of Plant within the Integrated Steel Plant.
The role ensures that all Air, Water (Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra (Compressed Air, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Natural Gas, By product Gases, Water (Raw, Process, Potable & Fire), etc) are constructed, commissioned within stipulated time & Budgeted cost such that the facilities deliver world-class performance from Day-1 of plant startup.
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra internal facilities are constructed to meet the requirements of the Integrated Steel Plant ensuring global construction productivity, safety, Quality, digitalization, and sustainability benchmarks.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators):
- 1. Architect the end-to-end Construction, commissioning of Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal facilities as per Construction Master Plan (CMP) for the greenfield ISP.
- 2. Drive construction, commissioning of Utilities integration of process flows, interdependencies, and operating philosophies across Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal.
- 3. Ensure readiness of Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal to meet the construction timelines of the Integrated Steel Plant.
- 4. Provide strategic leadership for construction & serve as link between Engineering, Operations, and other enabling functions.
- 5. Champion a "One-Plant One-Team" approach ensuring cohesive execution across diverse stakeholders.
- 6. Facilitate structured governance mechanisms, steering committees, and integration reviews with senior management by providing necessary construction related inputs.
- 7. Lead development of construction & commissioning strategies, construction checklists, and construction performance validation protocols for Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal.
- 8. Plan & execute post construction cold/hot commissioning, process stabilization, and PG test execution & hand over to Operations team.
- 9. Drive resolution of early construction bottlenecks through cross-disciplinary interventions.
- 10. Ensure alignment of Construction quality and safety management systems with global best practices.
- 11. Promote construction excellence and continuous improvement culture within team.
- 12. Lead manpower planning, competency mapping, and readiness training programs for Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal construction team.
- 13. Coordinate with OEMs, technology partners for progress updates, inputs required for Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal Engineering, construction and commissioning.
- 14. Ensure that the workforce, systems, and processes are followed during construction & commissioning.
- 15. Identify and mitigate construction related-related risks.
- 16. Build construction progress dashboards and monitor overall progress.
- 17. Provide structured reports to Chief Projects - East regarding construction progress, resource planning, delay analysis, catch up plans.
- 18. Establish documentation governance for construction readiness and commissioning activities.
Critical Tasks (Key Activities):
- 1. Architect the end-to-end Construction, commissioning of Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal facilities as per Construction Master Plan (CMP) for the greenfield ISP ensuring Quality, Safety & timelines.
- 2. Build construction progress dashboards and monitor overall progress.
- 3. Provide structured reports to Chief Projects - East regarding construction progress, resource planning, delay analysis, catch up plans.
- 4. Ensure all Construction documentation for Air, Water (Raw, Process, Potable and Fire) & Gas - Infra and Logistic Internal construction & commissioning are maintained.
Education Qualification & Certifications:
B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Chemical; Postgraduate qualifications preferred.
Relevant Experience: 20 - 25 years of experience in large Integrated Steel Plants with substantial exposure to greenfield/brownfield Balance Of Plant Utilities & Water systems erection & commissioning.
