Location - West Africa Role Overview

- We are seeking an experienced and result-driven General Manager - Production to oversee and optimize production operations across multiple units.

- The role demands a strategic leader who can ensure high efficiency, quality standards, and smooth coordination with merchandising, sourcing, quality, and planning teams to meet production goals on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee end-to-end production activities, from cutting to finishing, ensuring production targets are consistently met with high quality and efficiency.

- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, planning, and quality assurance teams to maintain seamless production workflow and meet order requirements.

- Monitor workforce planning, training initiatives, and performance management to foster a productive - and compliant production floor environment.

- Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.

- Manage production budgets and resource allocation effectively.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to achieve performance and quality objectives.

- Liaise with senior management to report on production metrics, challenges, and improvements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in apparel or textile production, with substantial experience in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, quality control, sourcing, and compliance requirements.

- Proven ability to manage large teams and multi-unit production operations.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
