The Plant Head will be responsible for the overall operations of the plant, including P&L management, production, quality, maintenance, tool & mould, HR, dispatch, store & warehouse, MIS, administration, SAP, OPEX, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a data-driven operational leader with strong administrative capabilities and a proven ability to manage large-scale manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have experience handling a P&L of INR 500 crore per year or above.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operational Efficiency

- Lead and optimize daily production operations across extrusion, mixing/compounding, and injection moulding to maximize output and minimize downtime.

- Ensure strict adherence to production schedules while maintaining quality and cost targets.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

- Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement and ensure maximum machine utilization.

- Oversee production planning and resource allocation to meet business objectives and market demand.

Quality, Maintenance & Tool Management

- Enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.

- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and enhance equipment life.

- Manage tool & mould operations, ensuring precision, durability, and optimal performance.

Store, Warehouse & Dispatch

- Ensure effective raw material and finished goods inventory management to support uninterrupted production.

- Streamline warehouse and dispatch operations for timely and efficient supply chain execution.

Financial & Data-Driven Decision Making

- Take full P&L ownership, driving cost efficiency and profitability.

- Utilize MIS & SAP for real-time production monitoring, decision-making, and operational insights.

- Implement Operational Excellence initiatives to optimize plant-wide cost efficiency.

Leadership & Administration

- Lead and develop cross-functional teams, ensuring a high-performance culture.

- Drive safety, compliance, and workforce productivity to enhance operational excellence.

- Foster collaboration across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams for seamless plant operations.

Key Requirements:

- Strong leadership skills with a track record of running large-scale manufacturing units.

- Data-oriented approach - ability to analyze numbers and drive decisions based on data.

- Excellent administrative and operational acumen.

- Experience in managing extrusion and injection moulding processes.

- Proficiency in MIS and SAP to streamline operations and improve decision-making.

- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

- 18+ years of experience in plant operations, preferably in a high-revenue manufacturing setup.
