Job Summary:

The General Manager - Marketing (Fabric Sales) will be responsible for leading all fabric sales and marketing functions within the organization. This includes managing domestic and export sales, developing and executing marketing strategies, building strong customer networks (wholesalers, distributors, garment manufacturers), and ensuring the growth and profitability of the fabric division.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed fabric sales targets across Nigeria and export markets.

- Identify new market opportunities, including industrial buyers, garment manufacturers, retailers, and institutional clients.

- Build long-term partnerships with key clients in the fashion, garment, uniform, and home textile sectors.

2. Market Expansion (Domestic & Export):

- Expand distribution in Nigeria through channel development (dealers, agents, wholesalers).

- Explore export opportunities in West Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

- Liaise with trade facilitation agencies (e.g., NEPC, NEXIM Bank) to support export initiatives.

3. Customer & Channel Management:

- Manage key accounts and customer relationships to drive repeat business.

- Develop incentive and support programs for channel partners.

- Ensure high customer satisfaction through quality service and product availability.

4. Marketing & Promotion:

- Plan and execute product promotions, seasonal campaigns, and brand-building activities.

- Work with product development and design teams to launch new fabric collections based on market demand.

- Utilize digital marketing (social media, email marketing, B2B portals) to boost visibility and lead generation.

5. Product & Pricing Management:

- Monitor market trends and competitors to determine optimal product positioning and pricing.

- Provide input to production planning based on sales forecasts and customer feedback.

- Ensure timely delivery and product quality compliance.

6. Sales Team Leadership:

- Lead and manage the sales & marketing team including regional sales managers and field executives.

- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.

- Provide training and mentoring to improve sales capabilities and product knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Textile Technology, or related field. MBA or Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in fabric marketing/sales in the textile industry.
