Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial General Manager - Marketing (D2C) to lead brand strategy, performance marketing, and category growth for our consumer vertical. This role requires a strategic yet execution-driven leader who thrives in startup environments and understands the nuances of scaling D2C brands.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in D2C industries such as FMCG, skincare, perfume, or lifestyle categories and has successfully driven revenue, brand visibility, and customer acquisition in high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rewrite the marketing playbook - WE DON'T FOLLOW RULES, WE BUILD DISRUPTIVE NARRATIVES.
- Own and drive the end-to-end D2C growth strategy aligned with revenue and brand ambition.
- Create sharp brand positioning that stands out in FMCG, skincare, and fragrance markets.
- Align marketing deeply with real customer buying behavior and decision journeys.
- Lead performance marketing across Meta, Google, marketplaces, and emerging platforms with strong control on CAC, ROAS, and LTV.
- Scale aggressively while maintaining profitability discipline.
- Stay ahead of digital trends and evolving D2C growth strategies, embedding what works into the brand.
- Launch products with impactful GTM strategies backed by strong consumer insights and research.
- Drive revenue across website and marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa) with sharp focus on conversion and retention.
- Build lifecycle engines across CRM, email, WhatsApp, and loyalty to compound repeat revenue.
- Lead and build a high-performance, data-driven marketing team.
- Manage agencies and partners with accountability, speed, and output optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8-12+ years of marketing experience with strong exposure to D2C brands.
- A growth-driven marketer who combines founder-level ownership with operator-level execution.
- Strong D2C and performance marketing expertise with a sharp revenue mind-set.
- Deep understanding of consumer psychology, buying journeys, and conversion funnels.
- Data-intelligent yet creatively bold - able to turn insights into disruptive growth.
- Proven track record of scaling paid channels while protecting profitability.
- Hands-on leader who builds, mentors, and drives high-performance teams.
