Role Overview:

As the General Manager of Operations for our IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostics) manufacturing facility in Vishakhapatnam, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for the end-to-end operational excellence of our production ecosystem. You will oversee the entire manufacturing lifecycle, from supply chain integration and quality assurance to large-scale production output, ensuring that our diagnostic solutions meet global regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional leadership, including R&D, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs, to streamline processes and drive efficiency. Your impact will be direct and significant, as you will be responsible for scaling production capabilities to meet the growing demand for high-quality diagnostic tools, ultimately ensuring that our products reach healthcare providers and patients with precision and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the entire manufacturing operations, including production planning, facility management, and supply chain logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of IVD products to global markets.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production cycles, reduce operational waste, and enhance overall manufacturing throughput.

- Oversee strict compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other international regulatory standards to ensure the highest level of product safety and quality integrity.

- Lead and mentor a large, multi-disciplinary team of engineers, production managers, and quality specialists to foster a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement.

- Manage capital expenditure and operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation while maintaining the highest standards of facility maintenance and technological infrastructure.

- Collaborate with the R&D and product development teams to facilitate the smooth transition of new diagnostic products from pilot scale to full-scale commercial manufacturing.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale manufacturing operations in the IVD or medical device sector, with a proven track record of scaling production facilities.

- Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and supply chain challenges.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a history of building and managing high-performing teams in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

- Advanced technical proficiency in diagnostic manufacturing processes, automation, and quality management systems.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with board-level stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and international partners.

- A postgraduate degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or Business Administration from a premier institute is highly preferred.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site, high-intensity manufacturing environment, demonstrating resilience and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

- Minimum of 20 to 22 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership capacity within the healthcare or diagnostics industry.
