We have an urgent opening for the role of General Manager - Maintenance in leading premium brand which is into cakes, pastry's & other bakery products in Mumbai

Position : General Manager - Maintenance (PAN India role)

Location : Govandi in Mumbai

Education : B.E or B.Tech (Electrical OR Mechanical)

Experience : Minimum 10 years in maintenance role in either FMCG or Food & Beverage or Food Processing company's

Profile Overview : A General Manager of Maintenance in a food company is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance, including managing budgets, leading maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining machinery and equipment to prevent downtime. Key duties include strategic planning, preventative maintenance schedules, equipment inspection, inventory management, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

- Team leadership: Supervise and guide a team of maintenance staff, including performance evaluation and professional development.

- Budget management: Develop and track departmental budgets, manage expenses, and oversee inventory of parts and equipment.

- Maintenance and repairs: Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities, including routine service, repairs, and installations, to minimize downtime.

- Facility and equipment oversight: Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify and resolve issues promptly.

- Safety compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

- Process improvement: Develop and implement new procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality and safety.

- Vendor and contractor relations: Manage relationships with third-party service providers when necessary for repairs or specialized tasks
