Role Overview
Our client, a reputed apparel manufacturing organisation with a large workforce, is seeking a seasoned leader to drive Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Engagement (EE) across its Visakhapatnam operations. The role is both strategic and operational, ensuring a stable industrial climate while fostering a culture of trust, welfare, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain harmonious industrial and employee relations across all units in the region.
- Lead employee engagement, welfare, and well-being initiatives to strengthen workplace morale.
- Drive collective bargaining, manage union relationships, and handle dispute resolution effectively.
- Ensure statutory and labor law compliance, including audits and external inspections.
- Partner with senior management on HR strategy, policy implementation, and workforce planning.
- Oversee grievance redressal mechanisms and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
- Engage with government authorities, legal advisors, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or Labor Law.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Industrial Relations and Employee Engagement within large-scale or multinational manufacturing setups.
- Proven expertise in union negotiations, conflict resolution, and labor compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
