Position Summary

The General Manager - India is responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling "India", a subsidiary of "ACIMS- USA" . This role has full responsibility for P&L performance, operational execution, customer relationships, and regulatory compliance for ACIMS's India data center HVAC business. The General Manager serves as the senior in-country leader, operating with strategic oversight from ACIMS, and acts as the primary liaison to the Primary Customer (already contracted), contractors, and key partners. This position is based in Hyderabad, India.

Key Responsibilities

Business & P&L Leadership:

- Full P&L ownership for India operations, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.

- Develop and execute annual operating plans aligned with ACIMS-USA's global strategy.

- Establish KPIs, reporting cadence, and operational dashboards.

Operations & Execution:

- Lead all India operations including manufacturing, assembly, testing, logistics, commissioning, and field service.

- Establish and manage the India assembly and test facility, ensuring compliance with ACIMS-USA quality, safety, and operational standards.

- Oversee startup, commissioning, warranty, and service activities for PRIMARY CUSTOMER and other customers.

- Ensure effective OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) coordination with contractors and site teams.

- Attend key project, OFCI, and execution meetings to ensure schedule and delivery alignment.

Customer & Partner Management:

- Act as the primary executive point of contact for PRIMARY CUSTOMER India and key general and mechanical contractors.

- Build trusted, long-term relationships with PRIMARY CUSTOMER India stakeholders.

- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and executive-level customer updates.

- Resolve escalations related to schedule, quality, or field performance.

Organizational Leadership:

- Build, lead, and mentor the India leadership and technical teams.

- Recruit and develop manufacturing, commissioning, service, and project management staff.

- Establish a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure cross-functional coordination with ACIMS-USA, including engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams.

Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory, tax, labour, and corporate governance requirements. Comply with American "Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)

- Oversee INR billing, banking, GST, income tax filing, and statutory reporting.

- Ensure repatriation of profits back to USA parent entity

- Serve as the statutory General Manager/Director and authorized signatory for the Indian entity.

Global Coordination:

- Work closely with ACIMS-USA leadership and technical teams to align global manufacturing, engineering, and delivery priorities.

- Support technology transfer, training, and process standardization between India and USA operations.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in HVAC, data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial manufacturing.

- Proven experience managing P&L and scaling operations.

- Strong background in manufacturing, logistics, commissioning, and field service operations.

- Demonstrated success in customer-facing executive roles, preferably with hyperscale data center customers.

- Experience working in multinational or cross-cultural environments.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Engineering or technical degree with commercial business experience

- Experience supporting American or other hyperscale Data Center customers is a plus

- Experience establishing or scaling operations in India

- Strong understanding of Owner Furnished delivery models and mission-critical commissioning

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: ACIMS-USA

Location & Travel

- Based in Hyderabad, India

- Travel within India and internationally as required

- Deliver first projects safely, on schedule, and to ACIMS-USA quality standards

Current Stage of the Business

It is a newly established, wholly owned subsidiary with initial PRIMARY CUSTOMER-backed demand, U.S.-based engineering and operational support, and a phased ramp plan for factory, field, and commissioning operations beginning in Q1 2026.

Authority & Decision Rights

The General Manager has authority for local hiring, operating expenditures, customer engagement, and execution decisions within the approved annual operating plan, with strategic oversight from ACIMS-USA.
