About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic HR leader to head the Human Resources function for a textile manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing HR, a demonstrated capability in strengthening people processes, and proven success in building a professional, performance-driven organization while balancing stakeholder expectations and business realities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the HR function and drive alignment of people strategy with business objectives.
- Build an HR roadmap that supports growth, operational efficiency, and organizational capability.
- Influence leadership and key stakeholders in adopting modern HR practices.
2. Policy, Systems & Process Development:
- Design, implement, and institutionalize policies, SOPs, and modern HR systems across the organization.
- Strengthen HR governance, compliance, and organizational discipline.
- Introduce digital HR systems and automation where practical.
3. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
- Develop talent attraction strategies to bring in high-quality professionals across functions.
- Build strong sourcing channels and industry employer positioning for the company.
- Ensure manpower planning aligned with operational and strategic needs.
4. Talent Management & Succession Planning:
- Implement structured talent reviews, potential assessments, and career pathing.
- Identify and groom next-line leadership and critical role successors.
- Proactively mitigate leadership risk by building depth and internal capability.
5. Leadership Development & Training:
- Build and execute a development framework for managers and future leaders.
- Establish structured learning programs, functional capability building, and managerial skill enhancement.
- Promote a coaching and continuous learning culture across the business.
6. Performance Management:
- Drive a transparent and merit-based performance management system.
- Link goals, outcomes, and rewards to business performance.
- Introduce KRAs/KPIs, scorecards, and structured evaluation processes.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building:
- Strengthen motivation, communication, and workplace belongingness.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Serve as a culture custodian to balance modern organization standards with promoter values.
8. Statutory Compliance & Industrial Relations:
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Oversee harmonious and constructive employee relations in the factory environment.
- Work closely with functional heads to ensure a high-trust work environment.
Candidate Profile:
- 18-20 years of progressive HR leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably textiles.
- Strong exposure to promoter-led business environments.
- Proven expertise in policy development, succession planning, talent management, and organization development.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior leadership.
- Hands-on execution capability with strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication, people management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
