General Manager - Human Resources
Description:
Strategic HR:
- Plant HR Team- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the organizations goals, values, and long-term business objectives.
- Establish and lead best-in-class recruitment and hiring practices and procedures necessary to hire a superior workforce as per agreed SLAs.
- Ensure on-boarding and induction of new employees.
- Position Tirex chargers as an employer of choice through employer branding initiatives and crafting a strong EVP.
Talent Management and Development:
- Ensure robust availability of talent across all levels through internal job rotation, cross-functional movement of talent, succession planning exercise.
- Identify and develop potential successors for key leadership positions, ensuring a robust succession plan is in place.
- Identify for and support the functions in developing required capabilities, both in short term and long term, through strategic capability development initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Manage compensation and benefits program for the organisation through manpower costing and budgeting exercises, compensation benchmarking surveys, development of an effective reward and recognition system, design of incentive plans, and formulation of employee compensation strategies and plans.
Performance Management:
- Enhance performance management practices by implementing objective appraisal systems, real-time agile feedback mechanisms, and fostering a performance-oriented culture that aligns with company expectations.
- Establish performance standards and evaluation criteria to measure individual and team performance accurately and work closely with leaders to cascade goals and expectations throughout the organization.
Plant HR Operations:
- Lead the implementation of various HR initiatives specific to plant operations, including industrial relation (IR) management, corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, and other related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies at the plant site.
- Advise management on HR-related legal and regulatory matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances and dispute resolution.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to understand strategic goals of each department and ensure alignment with the overall organizational objectives.
- Serve as a bridge between departments by promoting open communication and encouraging cross functional initiatives.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects that require input and expertise from multiple departments.
- Address conflicts or disagreements that arise between departments, ensuring that issues are resolved in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Administrative Support:
- Oversee HR operations, leveraging HR tools and systems to optimize processes, streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll and tax computation for corporate and all branches across geographies and ensure statutory compliance with all related law.
- Implement and leverage HR technology solutions to gain insights, improve decision-making, and data driven HR practices.
Diversity and Inclusion:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy aligned with the organizations overall objectives.
- Design, implement and update HR policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and results and strive to resolve any related issues in a timely manner.
Organization Culture and Employee Engagement:
- Monitor organization health through employee satisfaction surveys.
- Initiate steps to improve and sustain the morale of employees across the organization.
- Develop HR intervention plans and overall strategy for change management and guide implementation.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster high employee morale, motivation and positive work culture.
Team Building and Capability Development:
- Identify, manage, and groom the right talent for the team and organization while fostering a strong culture of ownership.
- Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review the performance of team members.
- Identify and create development opportunities/plans to enhance functional knowledge and skills within the team.
- Engage in regular coaching and development conversations with the team members to ensure their overall development.
- Develop a strong team with a focus on key current/future capabilities and ensure robust talent pipeline for succession.
