Role Objective:
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and highly experienced General Manager - Hospitality to lead the overall operations of a large-scale hospitality business in Goa. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities with extensive experience in managing high-footfall hospitality environments such as Hotels, Luxury Resorts, Banquets, Casinos, Cruise Lines, or Large Entertainment Venues. The candidate should have a proven track record of managing operations catering to 1,500 - 2,000 guests daily, while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction, operational excellence, cost optimization, and profitability.
Key Job Role and Responsibilities:
Hospitality Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end hospitality operations to ensure seamless daily functioning.
- Lead and manage large teams across Food & Beverage, Banquet Operations, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Facility Management.
- Ensure superior guest experience by maintaining the highest hospitality standards.
- Manage daily operations catering to approximately 1,5002,000 guests.
Food & Beverage Management:
- Drive the complete Food & Beverage operations across all outlets.
- Develop, curate, and periodically refresh food and beverage menus in line with customer preferences and market trends.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, hygiene, and service standards.
- Coordinate with chefs and culinary teams for menu innovation and seasonal offerings.
Floor & Guest Experience Management:
- Ensure efficient floor management during peak operational hours.
- Maintain excellent guest engagement and promptly resolve service issues.
- Monitor service delivery and implement continuous improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Financial & Cost Management:
- Develop and implement effective cost-control strategies without compromising service quality.
- Optimize food cost, beverage cost, manpower cost, and operational expenses.
- Monitor budgets, profitability, and operational KPIs.
- Drive revenue enhancement initiatives through operational efficiency and upselling strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve service standards and employee productivity.
Compliance & Quality:
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, statutory, and operational compliance standards.
- Maintain quality assurance processes across all hospitality operations.
- Implement SOPs and monitor compliance regularly.
Vendor & Inventory Management:
- Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
- Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure efficient stock management and minimize wastage.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Hospitality or Operations Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 12-20+ years of progressive experience in hospitality operations.
- Must have worked in senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Operations Head, Director of Operations, or F&B Head.
- Experience in one or more of the following is mandatory: Hotels, Luxury Resorts, Banquets, Casinos, Cruise Lines, or Large Hospitality or Entertainment Venues.
